The smarter approach to slab reinforcement

The typical way to control cracks in slabs-on-ground is to employ contraction joints with sufficient depth and proper spacing to prevent mid-panel cracking. The more joints required, the greater the impact on the designer’s flexibility, the contractor's time and labor, slab aesthetics, as well as the owner’s long-term maintenance costs. Now, there’s a better, more advanced solution.

The MB Slab® System is designed to reduce joints in slabs-on-ground

For a 100,000 ft² (9,300 m²), 6 in (15 cm) slab, MB Slab System can eliminate 80% of the joints (assuming 12 ft (4 m) joints for the conventional slab, and column-to-column spacing of 50 ft (15 m) with the MB Slab System).

Utilizing the synergy between shrinkage-reducing technologies and fiber reinforcement, the MB Slab System offers a significant improvement over traditional slab construction. Combined with proper industry practices, the MB Slab System allows joints to be spaced significantly further apart, or in some cases, eliminated altogether. The MB Slab System is a complete game-changer, and it comes to you from a name you already trust: Master Builders Solutions.
